Emergency Operations and Business/Government Continuity

Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) Development

We create, coordinate, plan, train, and exercise FEMA CPG 101, National Incident Management System (NIMS), and California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) compliant EOPs using an “all hazards” approach.

We use the FEMA 6-Step Planning Process to create a tailored EOP:

  • Identify Key Stakeholders
  • Identify Threats and Assess Risk
  • Determine Operations Priorities
  • Develop Courses of Action and Resources
  • Write and Review the Plan
  • Train and Exercise the Plan
  • We use HSEEP exercise concepts and principles to vet and exercise the plan

Business Continuity/Continuity of Operations Plan (BCP/COOP) Development

  • Successful BCP/COOP implementation depends on the success of the initial response to the emergency, defined in the EOP. We link these two plans during the planning process to ensure initial response and continuing levels of services are mutually supportive.
  • During the planning process, we help our clients identify
    • Critical business/government functions
    • Chain of command/leadership and decision-making authority
    • Critical Facilities and planned Alternate Facilities
    • Communications Pathways and Alternates
    • Evacuation/Relocation Procedures
    • Disaster Recovery Procedures
    • Resource Management needs
